Pano Therapeutics Names Robert H. Ring, PhD as Lead Neurodevelopmental Disorder Advisor

May 26, 2026 — Pano Therapeutics, a preclinical-stage biotechnology company developing CNS-optimized biguanides for neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs), today announced the appointment of Robert H. Ring, PhD to the company’s Scientific Advisory Board as the company advances its lead candidate, PAN1195, toward clinical development in Fragile X Syndrome (FXS).

Dr. Ring is a globally recognized expert in NDDs with senior leadership experience in developing therapeutics for NDDs spanning tenures at Wyeth, Pfizer, Autism Speaks, and Kaerus Bioscience. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Kaerus Bioscience, where he led the discovery and advancement of the novel BK channel modulator KER-0193 into clinical trials for FXS. Kaerus’ program was acquired by Servier in 2025.

Dr. Ring brings to Pano a combination of clinical-stage NDD development experience, strategic perspective from a recent FXS biotech leadership tenure, and an extensive network across the patient advocacy, scientific, and pharmaceutical partnering communities relevant to Pano’s lead and expansion indications.

“Rob brings extraordinary depth in NDD biotech strategy, preclinical and clinical development, and partnering to Pano at exactly the right moment in the company’s evolution,” said Ben Gibson, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Pano Therapeutics. “His experience leading Kaerus Bioscience to acquisition by Servier, his ties across the FXS clinical and patient communities, and his strategic perspective on biotech execution make him an ideal lead advisor as we advance PAN1195 through early clinical development and strategic industry interactions.”

“Pano’s unique, CNS-optimized biguanide approach to therapeutics development in FXS addresses the significant unmet needs of this patient population, and I am pleased to be working with the team to advance this exciting science into clinical development,” said Dr. Ring.
